I am a wife and mother of 3 children. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science w/an Education Concentration. I previously owned a licensed home day care for 20 years. Recently, I moved from my previous location and took a few years off to get acclimated to the new area/home where I now reside. Although I took a hiatus for a few years, one thing was definitely a fact; that even though I moved into a new field for a few years, my #1 passion was working with children.
In 2019, I decided to open Cuddle me up Childcare Academy, a licensed home day care in my new home in an environment where children will be learning from an educated, positive role model and advocate for children. Children learn and develop on an individual basis. Working with children in small groups enables them to receive the personalized attention they need to advance. It also enables myself and my staff to the opportunity to observe and meet the individual needs of each child. In January 2022, I became licensed as a group daycare home.

Misson
Cuddle me up Childcare Academy provides a safe, developmentally, inclusive environment for infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early learning and child care experience which promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development in a family atmosphere.

Philosophy
We believe that the child defines the curriculum and that children learn best through play. We follow the guidelines of the National Association of Family Child Care, which suggest that developmentally appropriate practices are those that provide opportunities and activities for children related to their age, culture, individual interests, and levels of development and ability.
